Adjustable Point
Manufactured from high quality steel, with a polished finish. Consisting of two legs which are held together by a large nut and screw to provide a firm friction joint. Each firm joint caliper has an adjustable ground point which can be retracted for storage and the other leg is angled at the tip. The legs can be reversed, so the tip turns inwards or outwards. Firm joint calipers are used for scribing arcs and parallel lines by using the edge of the workpiece as a guide, and are also used for measuring from the centre point of a component.
